Last updated September 12, 2026 · TestFlight beta
This policy describes the current AccountabiliCal iOS beta from BytePanels. It covers the app and support for it, separately from the Panels media tracking service.
Information the app handles
- Sign-in information: Sign in with Apple provides an app-specific identifier and, when supplied, your name. The app stores a sign-in identifier and display name on your device. It does not receive your Apple password.
- Tasks and progress: task names and icons, targets, assignments, check-in dates and times, and nudge events.
- Sharing information: people connections, invitations, membership, and sharing decisions needed to connect tasks with other people.
- Local preferences: app settings, session state, and cached task information used by the app and its widgets.
Where information is stored and why
AccountabiliCal uses Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services to store and sync tasks, check-ins, and connections. The app and its widgets also share a local cache on your device. This information is used to display your goals, record progress, enable sharing, and show widgets and notifications.
Sharing with other people
You can use the app on your own. When you share a task, its participants can see shared task information, participant information, and the progress included in that share. Different tasks can have different participants. A people connection alone does not grant access to all your tasks.
New task invitations keep earlier private history separate by default. Adding someone to an existing shared group can include already-shared history; review the people and history disclosure before approving. Older paired accounts may retain their original shared workspace. Treat invitation links and codes as private and send them only to the intended recipient.
Apple services and beta diagnostics
The app uses Apple services for sign-in, cloud storage, widgets, and notifications. You can manage notification permission in iOS Settings. TestFlight provides Apple and the developer with crash and usage information, and you can submit feedback that includes comments or screenshots. See Apple’s TestFlight terms and Apple’s privacy policy for details.
Support messages
If you contact BytePanels, we receive your email address and the information and attachments you send. We use that information to respond and investigate the issue. Avoid including sensitive task details or other people’s information unless needed for your request.
History and deletion
Signing out clears visible app and widget data; it does not delete cloud history. Removing a task archives it while retaining check-in records. Leaving a shared task can retain your own history in a private copy, and records already shared can remain with other participants. Removing the app does not necessarily remove data stored in iCloud.
For access, correction, or deletion questions, email info@bytepanels.com. We can explain the available options, including where information is controlled by Apple or retained in a shared task. The current beta does not have a complete in-app account deletion flow.
Changes and contact
We will update this page as the app and its data handling change. For privacy questions, contact BytePanels at info@bytepanels.com.
