About BytePanels

A personal media dashboard for tracking what you watch, read, play, and listen to.

The Platform

BytePanels is a personal media dashboard that anyone can use to track movies, TV shows, books, games, and music in one place. Rate and review what you consume, connect integrations like Spotify and Hacker News, unlock achievements, and share your public profile — or keep everything private.

The Story

BytePanels started as Carson's personal corner of the internet — a place to share what he's watching, reading, and playing. It grew into a platform that anyone can use to do the same. Whether it's a great movie, a book that changed your perspective, or a tool that improved your workflow, BytePanels gives you a place to track and share it.

Why "BytePanels"?

The name reflects the modular, panel-based design of this site - each section is like a panel displaying a different aspect of my interests. The "Byte" represents the digital, tech-focused nature of the content, while "Panels" speaks to the organized, visual way information is presented.

Built With

I built this site using SvelteKit and Convex, combining modern web technologies to create a fast, responsive experience. As a developer, I'm always experimenting with new tools and techniques, and this site serves as both a creative outlet and a playground for learning.
